Hello there! Whether you’re a first time visitor to this site or you just keep on coming back for more (and why wouldn’t you!?), you obviously have a thing for globally inspired interiors. Well done you – you’re obviously a genius.
Now I only post twice a week, so what are you supposed to do in between getting your regular dose of interiors joy from around the globe I hear you ask? Well, today I have the answer my friends. And that answer is my top five instagram accounts for gorgeous global interior style.
First up, Tone Kroken, a stylist and interior decorator from Norway. Her account is a relatively recent find for me but I am already totally taken with it. Some days the interiors are pristine and high end, other days they are brimming with global joy and vintage treats. Either way, her account is a daily delight.
Next, its Apartmentf15, another account chock full of global interior inspiration. Run by a US artist, graphic designer and web developer (and now shop-owner – she also has another instagram account (shop.apartmentf15) showing off the global treasures you can buy, though don’t forget to factor in shipping from the US if you don’t already reside there). This account is daily global inspo without exception. I love it and it introduced me to the joy of Uzbek textiles recently too. Fab!
Third on my list is Maryam Montague’s account, mmontagueliving. Based in Marrakesh, Morocco, Maryam now runs an online souk selling a variety of stunning Moroccan items (I may have ordered some tribal print pillowcases from there recently…). Billed as a haven for modern nomads, this account is #tribalchic and absolutely gorgeous.
One of my absolute favourites is Justina Blakeney’s account, the Jungalow. Bringing daily #jungalowstyle, it is always full of bright, bold, bohemian interiors which never fail to cheer me up on dull days. I can also highly recommend Justina’s book, The New Bohemians:Cool and Collected Homes, which I got as a Christmas present and which showcases a range of bohemian homes from around the world. In addition to the Jungalow website, this stunning coffee table book is another excellent source of home inspiration for me!
Last, but certainly by no means least, is another of my new fave finds, Australian jewellery and accessories store, isleandtribe. Now I know what you’re thinking. Jewellery? Where’s the interiors? Well, there aren’t any in the store, but this post is about instagram accounts and the isleandtribe account has oodles of global interiors inspiration, even though it doesn’t sell homewares (though perhaps it should. I may email to ask them to expand their range….!). And anyway, the jewellery is super nice as is the New South Wales location, so there really is nothing to lose by checking them out!
There you have it folks, my (current – these things are always fluid with me), top five instagram accounts for global interior inspiration.
And if you’re feeling particularly inspired, why don’t you come and follow me over on instagram too? I’d love to see you there!
Happy travels and shopping,
