The restaurant was first opened in 1999 by a Teochew family. It started off as a snack bar at the Orchid Country Club, and later moved to the Bah Soon Pah Road location. This location is where the restaurant has been for the past 13 years. Since then, the restaurant has been owned by Jason Chua, who graduated from NUS Engineering and took over the business after his mother passed away.
